You Go Where The Muse Takes You

Although I have seen the Shetland series many times I have never read the books. It's been interesting so far to see how this book is different from the series episode. There is so much you can do with words that are hard to portray on film. There is a scene in the book where Magnus talks about his mother using a knitting belt and how quickly she could make things. That was fascinating for me to read as its not part of the story but it is part of the setting. I purchased a knitting belt this year, took a class in it but let it slide. I've put it on my list to rewatch the included videos before my access expires.

As to my title this year I am discovering that the Muse can take me a number of places on any given day. Being an Artist in paint, paper and fibers I have a lot of leeway to create. Today was the day to make a new blog. I have been missing blogging since I let go of my website that hosted my old blog. I find that social media does not always work for what I want to do or share. I can't start a lengthy conversation or share multiple things in a way that I might want to.

They have forecast a winter advisory today but I am thinking that will be in the Mountains and not where I live. It still looks pretty gloomy out there. I like many of you am anticipating Spring.

Today I have plans to do some weaving on a set of napkins, my art for the 100 day project, knitting in the evening online with a friend and wherever the muse leads me. What is calling your creativity today?
