I Don't Remember Ordering This Yarn

This skein of yarn came the other day. It was a total surprise as I don't remember ordering it. I went on ETSY and found that I had ordered it on Nov 27, 2022. No wonder I don't remember. It must have been a pre-order. It is lovely though.

These I do remember. I toyed with the idea of a yarn subscription this year. This is 3 months' worth. It is all Dk non superwash merino wool. It is the Sew Happy Jane yarn club. I decided to switch gears and I am leaving the club in order to take part in a weaving subscription instead. The 2 skeins on the left are destined to be a hat.

These 4 feel like a shawl to me. I have over 900 yards so that should be enough to do something nice. I really liked the club but I can't afford to do 2 things and my focus is more on weaving this year.

This is my Mirrix 16" loom where I am working on the class Warp& Weft taught by Rebecca Mezoff. All the ends are in the front because this sampler is being woven from the back. The yarn used is Harrisville Highland. The more I learn about Tapestry, the more I love it. That must be why I now have 6 tapestry looms. Before you gasp, most of them are small or chosen for a specific purpose. I've got my eye on 2 more. A Lani from Mirrix and from Schacht the Arras. The Lani is a small 8" loom, but it has a shedding device, which none of my small looms have.

The Schacht is a larger loom with a weaving width of 20". It also has an additional warp beam you can add on. This gives you the ability to weave a larger piece. I'll bet that both of these looms make their way to my house this year.

These little stands were made on a 3D printer, by https://itsallaboutthetools.com/. They come in handy when winding off the yarn.

I have been posting once a week on Mondays and I am not sure when I will post again. On Wednesday I will be headed to the image below. I have been having back pain for the last year. I have pushed through it to do some things but now I am tired of being in pain all the time. I'll have surgery on Wednesday, March 1, and then have a 6-8 week recovery. See you on he flip side.
